FLL Diver once bubbled...

It seemed tight around the face, so I don't think it was too loose.

I was wearing it over my 3mm wetsuit, with the collar over top of my wetsuit, not tucked in.

Is burning a hole into your new hood a common thing to do? I usually have enough problems keeping my equipment in decent condition without vandalizing it myself. :D

If the fit is good, and your doing it all ok, then a hole is the way to go!!!

I very occasionally have problems when I "burp"my semidry. It sometimes fills the hood with a bubble.
I dont have a hole, but it doesnt seem to need it.

I cut a hole in the top of my head as well...about the same size as a Bic pen, just enough to let air bubble out but not big enough to have a huge worry about water coming in...

And, you should tuck your hood into your wetsuit - it provides a better seal.

Doh!!!

My HOOD....I cut a hole in my HOOD!

One of those days....I guess I'm definitely in the right thread. Airhead it is...sheesh.
