Consider yourself lucky. We paid over $800/ticket from Omaha to Roatan. I've been monitoring it ever since we purchased and the prices haven't gone down.

On the upside, less that 2 weeks until our trip to Utila, woo hoo!

My fare for going to Roatan in May was 616.70 on Continental. This is leaving from Dallas, stopping over in Houston. We bought our tickets in January.

Thanks for everyone's input. I was not complaining about the cost...just wanted to know if it sounded like it was about the usual cost. Since I had never looked at Roatan airfare before and had not started monitoring it yet I was just curious. Your quotes have given me some idea now and yes, I have already signed up for one of the daily email price alerts.

I didn't think you were griping, but then we got off on a number of different origins. I enjoy these puzzles as I like to help divers get away and learn how to save for myself both. When do you want to go? Delta is showing $679 from Atlanta in August.

Signing up for daily email alerts on every pair of dates that will work will give you a lot of insight. When you get the emails, scroll down to see multiple choices you may have selected on the one mail.

Sidestep tends to do a the best job I think, and they have search options on other sites as well. Click "show matrix" after a search to see the various airlines and fares. Sometimes it's cheaper to drive to a nearby airport for origin so do select nearby airports on origin, but not for destination. LCE on the mainland is often cheaper but I don't suggest that ferry adventure, altho some do it.

Sidestep is a little weak on actual geography at times tho. Are any airports within 100 miles of you other than ATL, Lewis B Wilson, and Athens?
Have a great trip...! :pilot:

We paid $463 RT Cont. Houston/Rotan lv 3-24----rtn 4-10.

I have been looking at Continental and cannot get there in June for less than 678.00 from Texas:dontknow: I paid 615.00 last year:shocked2:

TACA is a non american carrier they don't have all the bs taxes we do:(

Keep checking, I just checked today and saw fares as low as 556 in June. I just booked for august from New Orleans via Houston at continental and paid 565. if that is any help:D

Well I already pulled the trigger when it was 678.00 that is from Austin via Houston..it hasn't dropped below that for the dates I needed since I bought them a few weeks ago...thanks anyway;)

Looks like $586 on Mondays and Thursdays from SAT or AUS, $605-624 weekends, oddly highest at $680 Wednesdays - $493 any day if you drive to Houston to catch TACA.
