What price range is generally considered reasonable for Bonaire? Right now, the flight is $573 non-stop from Newark for January 2013. Is this considered a good price? We're new to Bonaire travel and not sure if we should jump at this price or if we should wait and expect the price to go down...

Thanks!

I decided to put a FareLock on it so I would have some time to decide and not miss out on that price. We already have a deposit on a condo at the Sand Dollar and I'd hate to cancel if we wait too long to book airfare and the prices go up.

I am sure you will have a wonderful time there. We will be there one month before you for our 4th visit. You will have the opportunity to dive more in a week there than anywhere else in the world.

Make sure you do it on Tuesday. I checked the price of my flight on a Friday it was about $570 didn't think it was a bad price, when I booked it on Tuesday it was $480. Of course I am going off season so that might also be a factor. So give it another try tomorrow. Plus your best prices are supposed to be from 6-8 weeks.

I have until Wednesday to book the tickets at $573. If the price goes down tomorrow, I'll definitely book at the lower rate! There's no way I can wait to book 6-8 weeks in advance, my travel bug OCD won't allow for that unless we're going on a last minute trip!

Do you mind me asking where you got the $573 rate from? I'm looking to go with a buddy and it's turning up these horrible 30+ hour multistop flights for exorbitant pricing. We're flying out from New York so Newark would be awesome. Is it on United? I have been using Kayak.com with little luck.

Thanks for any help! Looking to maybe go August.

I actually found the flight using Kayak! It is on United. It looks like the flight is a red eye leaving on a Friday night in to Saturday. We are going in January. I came across this article when doing trip research. This may be why you can't find a United flight. :(

United/Continental has only a weekly flight to Bonaire. Make sure the dates you search are Friday for outbound to Bonaire, and Saturday for inbound to Newark. Any other days of the week, and the flight search engine will mostly give you a route through South America.

some weeks united offers a SUNDAY return flight (and i assume sunday stupidly early am departure, too, given the conservation of mass laws apply to airplanes... hmm) to IAH. one more day of diving!
