ahhhhh so many places where do i go. HELP!!!!!

Hi there All,
I have been working 7 days a week 10 hours a day for 4 months and i need a break. I live in Melbourne Australia am trying to organise a dive trip. I have dove a lot in Bay Islands [around 6 months and no whale sharks] and a fair bit in Egypt. I am after clear water would love to seesome big stuff sharks rays and bigger schools of fish as well as beautiful colors and corals. Obviously this is a big ask but i am happy to move around a little. I have looked and am just geting more and more confused with the selection in the Phillipines. I started looking at Moalbol and Apo island and know i am lost. I will want to travel in the next month am happy with a hammock in a tree sort of accomadation with the occasional nicer place thrown in. Planning on a couple of weeks mainly diving with a little socialising thrown in not hardcore partying though. I am an easy going 29 year old Aussie.

maybe we can help you narrow down the choices if you tell us exactly what you are looking for or want to see. the Pi has a little bit of everything. you want wrecks? coron and subic are perfect. you want diving and social scene at the same time? puerto gallera and cebu will be great. liveaboards? apo reef and tubbattaha. too many to choose from. im sure other members will chime right in

Ahhh... you're just about in time for the next Dive-O-Rama of this thread. It's going to be between 18-23 of May. Lots of fun being planned for this one. Just wait for these wolves to notice your post and I'm sure you'll get a lot of help.

Puerto Galera is great, Verde island is a day trip from there and has a rocking dive called the washing machine, it is an advanced dive though.

Alright i see i need to be a little more specific.
I would like a little bit of night life for the first week or so then i am not so fussed.
I would love to see some larger fish and shark as they were few and far between in Utila. I would love to see Mantas and a whale shark[this is a wish list of course]. I was thinking about doing something like this
Moalboal - Alona Beach, Panglao Island, Bohol
If you want to split your dive vacation into a stay in 2 destinations, come to Moalboal first. Dive a couple of days and join the dive safari. Go off the boat at the 3rd day of the dive safari in Alona Beach, Bohol, and enjoy some more days of diving and beach life in Bohol. Take the ferry to Cebu City at the end of your holidays. Other drop-off options are Apo Island (2nd day) and Cabilao Island (4th day). with Savedra PADI 5 Star
and taking advantage of the sto off in apo island staying there a few days and then continuing with the next safari

That sorta where i am at at this stage
really have no particular specific preferences just really good viz larger animals and coral gardens

After the dive Safari you might consider a trip Sipalay ... a nice end after the the Safari. But if you prefer to be a social Dynamo consider Puerto Galera ... greta macro around Anilao as well ....
