How large are those tanks? They look very small compared to the fish.

WWII era tanks were tiny compared to the modern machines we use today. That looks about right, as even the Abrams MBT can be crammed 2 to flatbed trailer if you angle the guns.

Looking at the forward and rear large-diameter track sprockets, turret placement and the approximate size I'm thinking

They were apparently deployed all over the Pacific aboard ships. Seems possible to me that these might have been captured or confiscated then dropped overboard, too.

This is an M3 Stuart. Tracks and suspension don't look quite right, turret centered on the length of the tank....
