$US600-$US700 for both courses combined. These courses are the deal breaker as to whether you'll be a "tech-diver". This is where you learn it...

just looked into it yesterday (again)$400 each or $600 combined, 2 classroom sessions, one confined pool, 6 dives @ 2 dives per day. boat and gas charges Xtra.

That's about what I heard, too, at my LDS.

I paid $400 for my NAUI Advanced Nitrox/Deco class. The class ran about 4 months (due mostly to my busy schedule) and included 14 dives. I already had DIR-F and IANTD Rec Triox going in ... plus about 100 dives in doubles ... so I was reasonably prepared.

I hope you were smiling as you typed that... we have the same LDS. Remember when you sat in on MHKs class, there was a 6'4 guy in a tank top with some tattoos? That was me and we met... not to sound like mo2vation but we all laughed at you and said you looked like a dork (jk) in your online photo with the big snorkle.:D

LOL no wonder it seemed like a familiar number.

I charge $500 for the TDI Adv Nitrox and Deco procedures class combined. There really is no sense to teaching or taking them separately. Cost includes books and certification, 3 classroom sesions, and 6 dives. 2 dives are performed at a quarry (students are responsible for entry fees) and the other 4 dives are ocean wreck dives at 100ft+. Students are responsible for their own boat fees, but not mine.

As far as number of students in the class, you can have any number in the classroom. It is the dives that are limited to 4 students per instructor. Personally, I never do deco training dives with more than one dive team, usually a buddy pair, occasionally a triplet. The North Atlantic wreck dive conditions we get just aren't conducive to adequate supervision of two teams at a time. In clear warm water, I might feel differently though, depending on the skill level of the divers.

I've been quoted $695 CDN for that course, so I dont think you're out of the ballpark at all.

Break out the K-Y

I paid $800 for the combined TDI Nitrox, Advanced Nitrox Deco. Procedures classes.
Approx. 12 hours of classroom time
6 open water dives in Pompano Beach Florida
($210 fee for the 6 boat dives and nitrox fills)
Hotel, car rental and flight $$$$$

Worth every penny of it!
