I started my Advanced Nitrox class with IANDT and did all my confined skills this past Tuesday except for the lift bag. We dove at a park in downtown Honolulu and the surge was a little rough. This 60 year old man had his butt handed to him with the 900 ft swim in less than 7 minutes followed by a 50 ft out of air exercise and a 250 ft buddy breathing exercise in less than 4 minutes. To top it off, I had to shed my gear at the bottom, free ascend and go back down and put all gear back on in under 2 minutes. Same on the surface. I passed with 100%, but I felt like I had been through SEAL training or something! Moving towards my Tech Cert if I survive!
