even after updating to ACR 3.7; still i cannot open .CR2 files from my G9 directly on PS CS2; however .CRW files (from EOS 300D dinosaur) opens with no issues. any idea what might be wrong?

A workaround - use the free DNG converter from Adobe to convert your images to .dng format then you should be able to open them in ACR 3.7

so the only way - apart from using DNG - is to go for CS3?? that is robbery!!!

No, that is Adobe! :shakehead:

I had the same issues with my D200 and CS. I had to purchase an upgrade to CS2.

If you are an adobe owner, and buy a current model camera, plan on the upgrade cost, because Adobe does not make their software backwards compatible with new RAW formats.

Does Lightroom offer export to JPEG or Tiff ?
