well divers, on may 22 there is a seminar of sorts in anilao and several CRMB members from other MPAS marine protected areas will be there. I have been invited to speak on how eco tourism and conservation go hand in hand.

one of the things that I will bring up is are these STUPID camera fees. i heard that the reason that these MPA's are imposing those fees is bec the UW photos taken DAW gets sold for big money anyway.

WAHAHAAHAHA what a load of cow poop. I don not know of one single UW photographer here in the Phil that can make a living out of taking photos UW.

SO YES I will be putting all of our collective 2 cents in my little speech and YES I will be asking them what they have done with our money.

WWF galing galing mag propose mag impose ng fees, until now they havent done anything to make the LGU comply with our law that mandates 15% of our municipal waters to be NO TAKE SANCTUARIES. Hello.

give them hell Yvette!
In sogod, ron said they dont turn over the fees they collect at the resort. instead, they ask for a shopping list for things needed (gas, buoys, etc) and they buy it and turn it over to the LGUs instead of cash.
