Sometimes, when I log on and have new PMs, I click on the "private messages" link and just get a refresh of the main forums page. I've learned that I can get to the messages by clicking user CP, but why can I sometimes get them through the link and sometimes not? Any ideas?
 
It sounds like you have a popup blocker that is hitting the new window (where the messages load) every now and then.
