If your fins broke right now, and price was no object, would you replace them with the ones you just named?

Ironcat:
What are the absolutely bestest bestest fins out there?

The ones you like the best for the kind of diving you do. I'm currently using Tusa Xpert Zoom splits, which are pretty nice. I'm considering getting some Omer Millennium Ice fins, if I can think of a reason to justify doing so. If your posting in the Hunting section was appropriate, these are from a company that caters to spearfishers and freedivers. They're cool, too!

I would. There's not a doubt in my mind. I love my fins, and they've got a long and proven track record. I've tried plenty of different sorts, and there are only a handfull I've liked. Of those, Mares Avanti Quattros and ScubaPro Jet Fins have been my favorites. Why would I change?

Scubapro jet fin, because they never made a better one in 40 or so years combined with springs they are heaven to use. I tried TUSA, Mares ( yuk ), seadoo and others but the jet fin is by far superior.

I tried Apollo Bios, Tusa XPert Zooms, Turtles/Jets, Mares Volos, Dacor Tigers and some others a couple years ago in a fin hunt.

Apollo Bios are hands-down my favorite. Sturdy like Jets, but I like the feel in the water (Jets don't fit my arches). Best fin I've ever tried.

If you can, get em with the factory-installed spring straps. Cheers :D

What type of diving do you do? How often do you dive? How strong are your legs? What kicking style do you use the most? Is power and acceleration more or less important than ease of kicking? Do you prefer a race horse or a work horse? There is no best fin out there, just the best fin for you, and all these questions need to be answered to find yours.
