David, you are correct on why not to store tanks half full.
However, you ever see 500 PSI let loose? Its pretty bad, even at 500 PSI.
The recommend storage pressure for a cylinder is 20-30 PSI or so. That's all your really need, and its not enough to be any real danger.
 
i was saying not to store over 500. sorry my fingers were typing faster then my brain was working, but you are right. just something for the people to think about. thanks for noticing my typing error.
