Dragging this old post back to life as the topic is on Point.

I'm currently in this area of Abaco living on a boat fitted with a dive compressor. I've explored some of these blue holes in the back country out here. It's a beautiful area of shallow water booming with sea turtles, baby sharks and mangrove snappers. The caves are all in waters 1 - 2 feet deep. I rowed to one this past weekend. Needed to row as it was too shallow to motor.

This season is likely going to be limited to simple sessions of exploring the shallows and diving the openings of the different caves but no insertions dives. I'm spending the next few months mapping out what is worth looking deeper into, pun intended.

Next season however is a blank book. I'll be ale to come prepared.

Is anyone in the community familiar with this area. I have not been able to locate much details.

Anyone interested in exploring with me?

Parts of the Abaco cave system are restricted by the government and off-limits. It would be wise to know which parts those are before you do too much exploring on your own. One way to stay out of trouble would be to make contact with the folks at Bahamas Underground and listen to their advice.
