has the storm dissapting over Hispanola...we'll see earliar models showed it crossing over the keys or up the east coast of FL offshore

The only thing holding up the trees in my yard now is the buoyancy of the roots!

The part that makes this bad is that I'm a block and half from the beach, on top of a 32' high prehistoric sand dune line, with the water table right now less than a foot down. The beach has fresh water flowing out of the sand as the water table is slowly draining directly into the Gulf.

A 'cane this year would be really interesting on the vegetation and structures anywhere along the SE US Atlantic or Gulf coasts.
