REVAN Is that a custom freediving snorkle I see? How clever!
Yes. I made a DIY video a few years back on how to make one with a few parts from the plumbing section of the hardware store. It's super cheap to make and works great for scuba diving. When you aren't using the snorkel it hangs like a necklace and won't flop around (even when swimming at over 3 knots).

There are some forum threads on it, and others have run with the idea, even making 3D print files for the junction 'T' to interface to a standard mouthpiece. I know that for the basic snorkel to purge well, it is important to not use too large a tube diameter. Some of the 3D files were designed to incorporate a purge valve. That kind of goes against my original concept, but may make it less sensitive to the diameter. Bottom line is, I haven't used these other designs, and don't know how well they worked.

Thread on my DIY Loop Snorkel:
Very Cool DIY Dual-Tube Snorkel for about $6

Thread on the spin off designs done by others:
Twin Pipe (loop) Snorkel (DIY)

PS - I have since eliminated the 3 snorkel keepers with a plastic bracket that makes this snorkel even better. I could provide a 3D CAD file for this part if someone wants to print or mill one. I cut mine on the 3 axis mill from HDPE.

Does this really work or are you kidding?
No jokes. I dolphin kick for fun even with AL80 but the 40’s really disappear in sidemount.

The spinal flex that sidemount allows is the key, after that it’s reducing drag for speed. Any small diameter tanks will work well.

Got any video? I'd sure like to see this setup in action.

Your snorkel video was my first impression of your stuff. I really wanted to try your fins, but I'm not a Hollywood movie star. Still, I built the snorkel, thank you.

I’ll try take some this weekend, I’m sure it’s not the prettiest dolphin kick but it’s mine and I like it ...
