I came across a Green Force light. so far everything test good with bulb and umbilical, battery batteries are done, won't charge. I have pics, but I can't find where to get replacement or upgrade. The holder is not hybrid, so I do not have the option of the insert that holds just AA batteries. The red wire insulation was shredded, so I just cut wires loose, I will reconnect to the cap to put it back together. Any ideas? Pics included.

That battery pack looks almost identical to the one I just ordered from BatterySpace.com:

I had an Agir (Swedish) 35W HID primary light. Nicknamed my Sun because it was so bright in a cave. Great light but the e/o connection annoyed me (not because of the brand - I’m sure any e/o cord would have annoyed me) and I had a hairbrain idea to cut it out. Bad move. Like everyone Agir does LED lights only now. I’ve kept the 18 Ah canister but now use a different (LED) head and no e/o connection in the cord.

Elmo - what is e/o connection?
It’s a plug that allows you to disconnect and reconnect a cord underwater (or on land). In theory brilliant if you want to have multiple battery packs, swap light heads or use for heated undergarments. Like many connections they can become unreliable after lots of plugging and unplugging, and can build up salt or calcite over time. I don’t have a need for it.

I went to Batteries plus today and was quoted $250 to build a battery. Yowza. I don’t even know if the bulb is good. I have tried to examine the filament and it looks fine. I want to resurrect this if all I need to do is a battery for reasonable money. If I have to chase on a bulb or buy a new light head, it is definitely not worth it. I tried testing simple continuity of the bulb, and it is weirdly not definitive one way or the other. I don’t know if there is some hidden circuitry in between that is throwing it off. I got this light in a box of other stuff that I bought, I just thought it would be cool to bring it back to life.

Light 4 me
I really like LightForMe torches and kit. They used to be amazing products with good value and passable service.

Alas their servicing in the last six or more years is NON-EXISTANT. There's several people who will fix broken cables, etc., but there's no spares support, for example getting new connectors. I waited for eleven months to get a Heat-for-Me battery repaired and there was NO answer when I wanted a cable replaced (the NW7 was actually a loudspeaker cable). UK companies such as Underwater Explorers have stopped selling their kit about five years ago.

Therefore, I hate to say this, avoid dealing with Light for Me.
