I am considering buying either the Aqua Lung Kronos or the Aqua Lung Legend. Anyone have input on either one of these? I havent found the difference in the two besides the side exhaulst valve which is good for an amateuer photographer/videographer in my opinion.

All Opinions welcome....

Legend is overbalanced so it is designed to breathe the same or easier as you go deeper or get lower on air. Basically the 1st and second stages are both consructed differently and you should compare the terms in the specs and look the specs if you're interested and decide what matters. My LDS tried to steer me away from the Kronos because they don't have it in stock and were not familiar with it. I have not bought any new equipment yet, but I am still considering the Kronos.
Make sure you get the free octo deal if you get it. (The Kronos matching octo is available in the US if you ask about it.)

Ive used the leged before, Im almost considering the Z2 now...But that then brings up the debate with diaphram over piston?!?

Get the Z2 what a fantastic reg...the debate with diaphragm vs piston is a long one i think both types of regulator of a good brand have equal performance. The diaphragm reg is a better purchase for colder waters.

Cheers.

Does anyone own a Kronos (non-supreme)? Aqualungs website says only the Supreme is overbalanced, but i just spoke with someone at Aqualung and I was told they are both over balanced.

As I understand it A L lowers the IP to about 140-145 psi and call this an over balanced reg. The only differance in the first stag of the Legend LX and the Legend LX Supeme is that the Supreme has a lower IP setting from the factory.

Go the Legend. IMPO its the better of the two, and you deserve the best right?
