Irishdiver once bubbled...
Dive often, dive safe. I'll follow your posts.

Oh my G-d. Be afraid, be truly afraid.

Again, welcome. BTW, hows the diving in Ireland. My wife lived there for awhile and wants to go back for a visit. I've been pushing for Scapa (besides, I'm part Scot), but could easily be talked into Ireland.

You thinking of coming on holidays? You won't get through immigration  [joke]

Don't come to the east coast - diving is poor all year round. Galway I recommend - try Nick Pfeiffer, Galway Bay Divers, absolutely excellent! Some of the best diving in Europe! Where'd your wife live?

We don't know when yet.

I'm not sure of the spelling, and she's not here to ask, but I believe its spelled Leix (pronounced Leesh???).

Thanks for the information.

Yeah...Leix or Laois, in the midlands, long way from the sea. Nick Pfeiffer's e-mail is atlanticdiving@eircom.net
I can't recommend him highly enough. He really knows his stuff, runs a great operation, you won't be sorry.

General info is here. This is the site for CFT - the Irish affiliate of CMAS - to which all the club divers in Ireland are signed up. Lots of useful info about diving in Ireland here. If you want more, let me know. Be warned - it's cold and dark but very, very rewarding. Don't know what you're used to, but Irish waters tend to be very 'challenging'!

Dive often, dive safe.
