I recently got a bp/w rig and I am having a little trouble with the fit. I have been using this guide to adjust the fit of the harness DIR-diver.com - Adjust the backplate
My issue though is that when I have the bp positioned and the harness adjusted the way this guide shows, I can't reach my valve on my single tank without loosening the waist strap and pushing on the bottom of the bp.

I have an STA that makes the tank stick out away from my body. I'm thinking this might be the reason why I can't reach. I'm not very flexible either. Is there something I can do to correct this?

While I'm here can anyone recommend a good single tank wing? I've heard good things about the halcyon but I'm wondering if it's just about the brand that everyone seems to like them.

I don't like it and will never recommend it to anyone.
DGX has OMS wings(27lb or 32lbs) with FIVE different colours to choose!

Check out the YouTube on backplates. They may be of some help.

Is this in the water or out? I find it difficult to reach just standing there out of the water, but easy to reach in the water.

Both. I can reach it but it is a real struggle. In the water it is a little easier but still not how I think it should be. I'll take some pictures in a few hours and see what you guys think.

So here are some pictures of what it looks like. It is riding a little low on me with no wetsuit because I have a very thick suit until my drysuit arrives. With my wetsuit on the top of the plate is about an inch or so below my primary vertebra and my hand can reach back and touch the top of the plate.

I know it's a doubles wing on there, I have a single tank wing on it's way and should be here in a few days.
