It cracks me up how people feel such an affinity to their LDS. It's a store. Like target or the local blockbuster. When you started using netfilx did you feel guilt that you were putting blockbuster out of business??

If the LDS was really so great... they'd figure out WHY you left, and make changes to their business model, in order to retain their customers. ;)

Jeeez, Howard, he's moving . . . or didn't you read that? :shakehead:

Our teeny shop is what we have, and while we do our best to support it, it just doesn't have everything.

Excuse me for making a statement. Is this not what SB is about? Expressing opinions.

Did I mention YOUR shop? I don't think so... Why are your panties in such a knot? Maybe you should lighten up on me. jeez.

Yes, but Target and Blockbuster don't educate you and train you to stay alive in a non-human friendly environment. It's a perfectly natural response, just not worth feeling guilty about.

 Looking in a mirror, perhaps?

You really don't know what you mentioned . . . do you realize that?

If one were to equate SE AZ to Cochise County (a good assumption), we have one dive 'shop' that leases a tiny corner in a sporting goods shop . . . it's about the size of my living room.

Tucson is 100 miles away. There are three shops there - one brand new one, we hope it makes it.

With such a small community, we know each other and yes, there is a pang of disappointment when we can't support our local guy. It's a loyalty thing. :)

I switch to netflix hoping blockbuster would go under. :)
I can understand the loyalty part. There are other B&M stores around, but this one trained you. You picked it out for a reason. They brought it down to a human level and not a business transaction. That is why I think people feel guilty... just my wee hungover opinion this morning..except for the blockbuster part... die blockbuster die.... :D

odd, I heard somewhere that AZ has more divers per capita than any other state, which is kinda odd in and of itself given the general lack of water that isn't found in swimming pools there. I may eventually enter one of the shops there that I've come across (2 in the Phoenix area) because my aunt seems to really want to go to one with me since she's "never been in a dive shop before". :dontknow:

that figure, if it was ever true, probably became obsolete shortly after the housing market peaked in 2006, AZ now probably has more 'foreclosures per capita' than any other state.
