A funny thing happened to me on the way to the LDS..

Well, actually AT the LDS.

So I stop in at the LDS today to pick up my PADI OW books and videos. I have been researching traditional BC's and BP\Wing combos for quite sometime.. still trying to make my decision.

Just for ****s and giggles, I ask him about his opinions on BP\Wing combos. He answered, in all honesty, that he has never really heard much about them. However, he went on to say that they are too heavy and they always had to be dropped before exiting the water and all this bull****.

My LDS is one of those hardcore 'SeaQuest/AquaLung/Apeks mafia' stores. They don't stock anything else despite all three are the same company.

Ya gotta love the "I'm ignorant but opinionated" types....

'cuz if you don't, the urge to "smack 'em upside the haid" gets too strong.




BTW, I'm not sure where, but Mike Ferrara - a board regular - has a shop somewhere in IN, and I believe he carries Halcyon. You might check with him...

Yeah, Mike and I have exchanged a couple of private messages. He seems like a great resource. His shop is about 2 hours from me, I need to check it out sometime soon.
