MaxBottomtime,

Thanks again for a great evening and presentation, last night. It was a pleasure meeting you, (the both of you) :) You've enlightened a lot of divers as to the great diving and history that surrounds the Peninsula. The book is a fantastic read ! I hope you enjoyed "hanging out with us" for the evening.

I had a great time. The employees of Deep Blue and the club members are extremely enthusiastic about diving. Also, in case anyone hasn't been in the shop for awhile, it has gone through an incredible transformation. It is clean, well run and I could stare at the new aquarium for hours. I didn't check them out, but Merry reported the restrooms as being on par with the nicest hotels.
I enjoyed the evening and expect to see many of you diving the peninsula often. I would suggest Hawthorne Reef for your upcoming boat trip.

First I've heard of this presentation.

I would suggest Hawthorne Reef for your upcoming boat trip.

Shhhh.... The kaleidoscope, color bursting reef that is Hawthorne does not exist, nor did it ever. It's all a figment of your imagination

November 6. Don Mueller will present a program about diving in New Zealand and Hawaii. Don is an icon of South Bay diving, going out regularly on his custom made boat designed for comfortable diving. Don and Cathy also have been leading The Sea Diver reunions TRW Sea Divers Reunion Party Website.
December 4. Phil Garner will present a program about Diving the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Phil recently published a book with this title, and more information about it is available at https://www.createspace.com/3782647. Phil will emphasize the invertebrate life around the peninsula compared to other dive areas in SoCal, and also mention the many wrecks we have available. Phil began free diving here in 1987. He enjoyed the freedom of climbing the goat trails without the added weight of scuba gear, but after seeing so many marine creatures, he knew that he would need scuba to stay down long enough to see more. As a newly certified diver he sought information about local marine life and dive sites. It wasn't until a few years ago that he began to write his own book.
January 1. There will not be a General Meeting. Have a happy New Year's Day holiday.

February 5. Bob Meistrell will present a program about the history of Dive 'N Surf Dive 'N' Surf , Body Glovehttp://www.bodyglove.com/heritage/ and Body Glove - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and diving in the South Bay area. Bob is the co-founder of Dive 'N Surf and Body Glove, so he is in a unique position to tell us the inside stories about his life adventures. This will be a fantastic presentation by a diving pioneer, starting TSD program year.
