Every time I do something it comes with issues, but this one worked out.
I signed up wanting to be ready for my OW in Aruba. I paid for the course and read the book non-stop. Aced the material then called the school only to hear that the instructor was on vacation and will be returning... any of 3 different dates, the latest of which leaves me with 2 weeks!
I stopped in yesterday & he was there. He didn't think we could finish the 16 hours of classroom and CW instructions in that time. I told him I was assured there would be enough time... so he bought back the PADI classroom kit (what I didn't use or mark up) then hooked me up with the online training (which he said I should have done to begin with). He told me to finish this then come in for the CW dives which he said he would do as a private training so we could finish in 1 day!
So, I started the online thing yesterday, I finished and aced sections 1-3 (I did read and finish the book).
I hope to be ready for my CW dives in a day 2 or 3 days. Then ready for Aruba with plenty of time to spare! Woot!
Since my last post I also signed up for the OW dives with Unique Sports Aruba (tremendous references & recommendations). So.. within a month I will be a certified diver! Another WOOT!
