7 mil not a problem in michigan...Check out our pics on www.divingmichigan.com most of them are from Marquette Mi...in the winter months. But i should say i do dive DRY now...

Nice photos! Looks like there is a few mines/quarries in the UP. My wife and I go north quite a bit... any suggestions on some great shore dives. Lake Superior or otherwise.
 
Marquette has some great shore diving. Black Racks and Presque Isle are great. Stop by and talk to Scott Thomas at Diver Down Scuba in marquette and he can help you out. Also Fortune Pit in Crystal Falls is great with 70+ vis and deep water...www.diverdownscuba.com.
