i purchased a old hi pressure steel tank with a din valve with 7/8 thread on the tank i would like to change the valve to a yoke 3442 but i cant find one. so my question is does any one know of a 3442 yoke valve with 7/8 thread?

It's not going to happen unless you find one that got custom machined. The 7/8 threaded cylinders are probably 3500 PSI PST brand. 3500 is the line of demarcation requiring DIN. Don't ask me where this is written down but it's what the industry marches to.

In theory you are proposing to derate yours by a silly 48 PSI but you don't have that authority.

The availability of such cylinders at nice prices is a good incentive to convert to DIN.

This is why I switched to DIN as well, 4 tanks for 200$ was too good a deal to pass up, even if they needed hydro. Switch to DIN and never look back!

Those DIN to yoke adapters are for use only while filling. No free lunch.

Not true of the inserts. They are diveable - but available for 200 bar as posted above.
Indeed, they even come with DIN valves for the exact purpose of inserting and using yoke valves..

But not in a 300 BAR valve.... The 300 BAR valves are 10 threads deep and the 232 BAR valves are 6 threads deep. Your yoke won't seat if you insert the insert and try to install your yoke.... switch all your regs to din and be done with it. ..... no yoke!

That is true, but the question was wether the inserts was "diveable" and they are - in the valves they fit into..
