I currently have a 30mm macro (which I like a lot) and pen port that fits the 30mm and 60mm (among others; it's the stock port for PT-EP13). I also have a 12-45 pro which has a 0.5x magnification (and a 23cm working distance). I'm considering selling / trading the PT-EP13 port and getting a 30mm port to save space. Will I regret giving up the possibility of using a 60mm? Looking at my macro shots with the 30mm, most shots are at 16-18 cm focal distance. I guess I am probably not achieving 1:1 at that distance, nevermind 1:1.25.

The 60mm is great, even though it focusses slowly. The 30mm is also good, focusses quickly, but lacks the magnification. I'd like to try the 90mm...

I was reading that the 60mm is a lot better (though still not as good as the 30mm) on the OM-1, which I now have (but didn't mention above).

60mm is flagship macro lens for MFT macro
There is no shortage of small nudibranch photos, but rarer small fish and crustaceans etc?

That 30mm is underrated and probably deserves the short port, but I've seen people get good stuff thru the 60mm port (incl. blackwater)

I took some notes on frame width and working distance at closest focus here (link)

I'm too old to wait for the 60mm to lock focus, so I use the 30mm on macro-centric dives. That said, I didn't want to give up the possibility of using the 60 so I got the AOI 22mm extension ring to use with their 30mm port; add that (plus the hours in extra focus time that you'll never get back) and you can use the 60.

Thank you for the link!! Great work!
