We'd love to do a Raja/Komodo liveaboard but don't have enough time. We have 5, maybe 6 days. Is that enough to take the time flying there from Thailand?

You could still do a land based trip, four days would be sufficient to experience Mid to North Komodo.

It will be rushed - don’t try to do Raja with just 5/6 days, but Komodo could be possible.

Big thing to look at is not all liveaboards, especially the shorter ones, leave in the afternoon. Some leave first thing in the morning (0900) or so. You would have to make sure you were in Komodo the night before to make the departure.

On such a limited schedule, a land based, or Bali trip would be far more manageable.

With 5-6 days you may be able to time a LOB from Labuan Bajo right. Theres loads of them that do 4 days 3 nights. I do like Scuba Junkies for land based but with transfer times and flight arrivals, you might be better off with day boat diving from LBJ. And if you can't get to Komodo, Bali is another great option. You can go up to Tulamben for top notch macro and some nice reefs.
