SBP Studios:
Is Mala ramp where they have a sunken boat?
No, that was Molokini (and it was Maui Dive Shop's boat). :D

Oh, you mean that you can dive as a wreck dive!

There's two boats: the Carthaginian (near Lahaina, in ~90' of water)... boat dive or rebreather/scooter dive, and the St. Anthony (near Wailea, in ~70' of water)... boat dive or open-circuit/scooter dive.

Mala Wharf is, itself, considered a "wreck" dive, as it was destroyed by a large storm that came through here several years ago.

When are you coming to the island? There are some great shore dive opportunities over on the south side...Kihei and Wailea and Makena. Do you really want to see some stuff and have a no hassle experience? Call Shaka or B&B or Dive and Sea Maui and I know you won't be dissappointed. Shaka has a very cool twilight two tank dive that I've been on. He'll take you for a late afternoon dive and then follow it up with a night dive at the same sight. You get to learn it in the day and see it both ways. Your kid will learn a lot about diving if you let him take you out. That's a must do if you ask me. Bring a little picnic lunch and kick it with the SCUBABUS. It's a guaranteed good time. Tell him I said Hey!
