3G/EDGE prepaid sim card in Sharm el Sheikh

I know it's not a good idea to bring your work life along to your diving trip. But sometimes, there are conditions that kinda force you to do so.

Anyone knows a good recommendation about internet/phone prepaid sim card in Egypt? I would like to use it to tether the connection between my iphone and the macbook air for some emails/work/search/4squares stuffs.

The three main companies are Vodafone, Etisalat and Mobinil. You can get pre-paid SIM cards quite easily in most locations. I personally use vodafone (although I don't have an internet-conencted mobile phone) but there doesn't seem to be much of a difference between the three companies.

you can also get 3G USB modems from Vodafone or Etisalat shops quite easily - depends where you are in Egypt as to what is best in that particular location. Mine cost 100LE and I pay 150LE per month for a 6GB download limit and hmmm - reasonably fast connection at certain times of the day.

You will also find free wi-fi at many hotels, bars and dive centres...!
