What Peter said. And, for us North Coast bums, 45˚ - 48˚ is what we have to work with from mid-april through July - at least this year. (my log book isn't handy, but I think I remember temps getting consistently back above 50 sometime in August up here.)

Mike, I don't use Argon, just haven't been cold enough to think about it much.
 
My North Coast dives this year (around 46F) were nice and warm with my compressed neoprene High Tide DS. Never did break out the added vest.

UnderArmour Base 2.0 base layer and the High Tide 100 custom undies were all I needed.
