Is this "El Coffee Cozumel" or "coz coffee roasting company" ?
I think it is El Coffee Cozumel, I'll swing by tomorrow for a double espresso and make sure. It is across the street from Lobster Shack and Cuatro Tacos, behind The Thirsty Cougar and Pizza Hut.

I agree that the survivor of the ferry price wars will be able to raise prices at will, but even as cheap as Mexico is....I was shocked at that rate.

Dropped in at Francesca this morning to an Eagle Ray, then came across the biggest, fattest, green morray I've ever seen swimming right to me. Safe travels everyone!

Thank you Jay...... I know exactly where it is. I stay at casa Mexicana so it is just 1 block over for me. Looking forward to getting it in December when we are there. Have a great time in Coz and happy bubbles.

El Coffee Cozumel. Double expresso and banana cake. Life is good.

Sadly....it was $3 on the return trip too....I've never been so disappointed about getting a good deal. I don't have to do peso to dollar conversions in Oklahoma...but I do have to go to work. I'd rather do peso to dollar conversions. No matter where I am....I'd rather be in Cozumel.

Same prices we got ferrying in and out in October. All 3 companies were at 45p - 50p per trip. Our tickets said LOCAL on them, so I'm thinking this is what the Plan Local people regularly pay. It was my understanding the deal ended on November 1.

I went down last Thursday to pre purchase 8 RT tickets for my family who were coming down via Cancun. I was told the promotional pricing that was being advertised was for a local plan round trip and the price was per leg, so $45 MXN at Mexico Waterjets was $90 per RT and Ultramar and Barcos Caribe it was $100MXN per RT for local residents. They may be looking the other way on the local resident status but I was hesitant to try it on a RT with a large group since there was no way of being sure it would work both ways.
Barcos Caribe was offering $200 MXN non resident trips and after I spoke with them they knocked it down to 150 per RT for unrestricted open tickets that we're good for a year. Still think it was a pretty good deal.

I took the ferry on the 26th from Playa to Coz and payed the 140 peso price one way. Damn I got hosed. I guess 6'5" with red hair and and a blonde haired wife and baby made us not look local.

No one looks more non-local than me, lol, (slightly round white guy in cargo shorts and hiking boot with fish-belly blinding white legs...and socks) and I have been told my barely gringo Spanish apparently has a Texan accent. If I remember correctly, it was only Mexico Waterjets that were advertising the price. The posted prices for Barcos Carribe and Ultramar were close to the normal rate.

Still sucks being back in Oklahoma.....

Jay

Ah, I did take Ultramar since them and Barcos Carribe were leaving 5 minutes after we got to the pier.
