Was involved in a dive 2 months ago when we boated out to a reef and when all were in the water and we went down - no reef. Those of us experienced enough Signaledl the rest to Stop descending and ascend. There were those newbies? or vacation divers that ignored the signal and continued. Thankfully we got all back to do a deco stop but...
I heard today that it happened again with a different dive operator. I would suggest and have told the DM's I dive with that as part of the briefing that "clanking" or noise maker the DM uses should be part of the brief. this will ensure that nobody descends to 200 ft and ....
