I'm a Fish!
FUSE3 (Florida Underwater Sports), is holding their 2nd annual earth day reef cleanup @ Spanish Rocks. Come have some fun, get wet and help clean up one of the nicest shore dive sites in the area.

Earth Day Dive

Sat, April 24th 9:00 AM
Spanish Rocks, Bradenton
Cost: Free

Hold the date and join us at Spanish Rocks to clean the reef. Every 22 April, thousands of volunteers in more than 115 countries put underwater environments on the Earth Day map. Project AWARE partners with scuba volunteers to organize activities with one common theme - protecting the ocean planet and cultivating community awareness.

That is awesome!

I am going to try and make the clean-up, right now I'm scheduled for a boat dive, but if I can get a refund I'll do this instead.

You can ALWAYS boat dive!! :)

Thanks!

How was the turn out for this?
I really haven't seen much debris at Spansh Rocks, a few abandoned crab traps and some rope once in a while.

Last time I was out there several divers lost equipment. Some of it was recovered right away but some was never found. This could have been a good way to get some new gear!
