Ok so we had a great time. But i noticed the visibility was half of what I am used to in Cozumel. Is this normal or does it vary a lot? I'm just so hooked on cozumel, i guess i had my expectations too high lol.

The coral formations were beautiful. lots of turtles and eels. but overall lots less fish life than coz. nice to get underwater for a week!

We just dove Roatan middle of June and stayed in the Sandy Bay area at the TranquilSeas Resort. We really enjoyed the resort, rooms were great as was the food and staff. I was expecting better visibility as was the previous poster. Some days we saw a lot of life underwater and some days hardly any. Really enjoyed the short boat rides from the resort as well. Overall the diving was very very relaxing and we had a great time, just was hoping for better vis and more sea life.

Did you dive the south side at all?

No, Pretty much every dive was 5-10 minutes from Tranquilseas and Anthony’s Key Resort. The Aggressor was right out from us as well one day. We did hear though that the reef is different on the different sides of the island.

Nice, It wasn’t horrible, definite 50+, guess I just had higher expectations. Really did love the topography though.
