It's so exciting! For once, the regulations seem to be loosening up a bit rather than tightening up even more as has been the trend the last few years. Yes, 4 dives per day again. And contrary to rumors, Punta Vicente Roca will remain on itineraries. Night dives seem to be by request and tricky as there are so few sites appropriate for night dives so might not end up on itineraries given the distances that need to be covered in a day. eg...PVR is great for night dives, but if you dive there in the AM, you won't be there in the PM. There is the possibility of permitting land visits again, too, on the first and last day. Should have 2013 final permits in the next week or two.

It is official. Liveaboards are once again making at least one land visit in addition to the Highlands of Santa Cruz now. Most are opting for either Bartolome or N. Seymour. Some are adding a night dive to their itinerary and all are now allowed up to 4 dives per day, which will depend on navigation time needed, etc. We have published some of the new itineraries on our website, however, 3 are still waiting for their final 'tweaks' prior to confirming their 2013 itinerary.

Great news!
