If you guys got to the big show more often tickets would be easier to come buy. :D

yeah... most of Auburn's problems are self inflicted.

but they did better under Chizick than I thought they would. although they blew a few key games that they should have won

You mean the Outback bowl? We watched Auburn's game from the comfort of our hotel room in Nashville. I also blame the empty upper deck on a 10 a.m. game on New Years Day. Who does that?

yep. 10am was stupid, but anyone wanting to go would have been there regardless of the time of January 1st. I think it was that Tampa and the airlines overpriced everything. Pretty stupid of them seeing how Tampa's economy is circling the toliet bowl

compare that to the BCS championship where it's expected that the game will have a $100 million dollar economic impact.

Speaking of Nashville, the Music City Bowl has better attendance and it's on a work week day. (usually Dec31). Tampa just screwed themselves.

That's very big of you! The Auburn fans that surround me are not so kind.

hey now... I'm cheering for Bama tonight. War Eagle!

tickets are averaging $1k each. plus flight, hotel, rental car, etc.

I'd love to go, but don't wanna drop $5k total on a football game. (but I know those who are!)

Why not, I've done it twice--paid for 5(wife & I & 3 young adult 'kids'), 2 times..........BTW, it's a once in a life opportunity for some teams----IYKWIM......;)

couple years ago, I would have done it. now though... just can't.

for example our health insurance at work went up enough this week to just about pay for us going to the game. It's like we all took a big pay cut.

I have less than an hour left in my work day. I'm taking a half day so I can run some errands fix tail-gate food and head to a party. I want to be on the couch, drink in hand, fire going, snow outside, all before the good pre-game coverage gets going.

Although extremely difficult for me (Go VOLS!!), my best friend bleeds crimson and so this post is in her honor!!!!

Fake punt, deep in the Texas territory in the first quarter? What the heck? :dontknow:

I was thinking that at the end of the game - we will spend 3 days hearing about how Saban is one of the great coaches of all time, but I tell you what, he made some bad calls in this one... from the fake punt, to that ridiculous offensive display in the 3rd quarter (4 yards?).

'Bama are a great team, but they won a national championship with a big slice of luck helping to compensate for some lousy coaching decisions on the night.

Same article that they printed after last year's NC game. But they changed the names to protect the innocent. I remember a similar one predicting a decade of Buckeye dominance after they beat Miami in 2002. A slightly more accurate one predicted a slew of titles for Pete Caroll, but in the end he won only one and a half.
