Apparently the "Swami" misread the crystal ball. The only 7 I saw last night was 7 points every time the Tide scored!....

Auburn pretty much only "brought" their game for about 2 minutes right before half time. The other 58 minutes of the game they must have forgot about.

Saban's carefully executed timeout was enough to blow the steam out of them going into the locker room. That's not what cost them the game, but it sure did blow any engergy out of them after that.

When was the last time you remember the #1 team in the nation catching 10.5 points from the #4 team in the nation?

Also, what do you guys think of the Vols choice of HC?

Looks like Tennessee has hired Kiffin to replace Fulmer..

Sylvester Croon resigned this past weekend also. Do you think Miss State wil hire Fulmer to replace him?

They just fired Tommy Tubberville

AUBURN -- Tommy Tuberville is out as Auburn's football coach, The Birmingham News has learned.

An official announcement could come today. It was unclear whether Tuberville was fired or resigned.

Tommy TubervilleTuberville was 85-40 in 10 years at Auburn, and is 110-60 in 14 years as a college head coach. His final season at Auburn ended with a 36-0 loss to Alabama last Saturday to finish off a disappointing 5-7 record.

Tuberville met with Athletics Director Jay Jacobs on Tuesday and again today. He met with university President Jay Gogue on Monday.

Tuberville is fourth all time in wins in Auburn. He was the fourth-longest tenured coach in school history.

His Tigers finished the 2008 season with a record of five wins and seven losses. He also had his six-game winning streak snapped last week in the Iron Bowl, getting shut out 36-0

AP: Auburn's Tommy Tuberville fired

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Auburn has dismissed Tommy Tuberville after 10 years as coach of the Tigers. That word came Wednesday from The Birmingham News. There was no immediate confirmation from Auburn officials.

Tubberville was 85-40 in his decade with Auburn, including a 13-0 season in 2004 when the Tigers finished No. 2 in the nation. But Auburn went 5-7 this year and was routed 36-0 by rival Alabama, currently ranked No. 1.

Wonder if Tubs will end up at State now? Might be a record... 3 teams in the same division?

I thought Miss State might have some interest in him or Fulmer....

I can guarentee you though that the fans of Ole Miss aren't interested in him again. They are still bitter after he told them he wasn't leaving.

I got a good kick out the end of this article (which came out before they fired him...)

The bottom line is that if Tuberville chooses to stick around, he is only buying himself a year or so. Auburn is unlikely to close the gap with Alabama anytime soon, let alone gain on Florida or Georgia. Taking the money and getting out now is best for all involved.

If not, Tuberville had better get used to calling out to Auburn-Opelika airport determine the whereabouts of "Lowder One."

Jet fuel is at its lowest price in four years.
