I just wanted to put some feelers out for a 2 br on or near either LBTS or BHB with a $200-250 a day budget. My dive buddy is bringing his wife and daughter and they were wanting someplace close to the beach. We will be coming down July 10 thru 15 for a full moon dive at BHB that weekend and do as much shore diving as we can on the other days.

TIA

PS this was my 1000th post. Sooooo hook a brotha up please!!:D

It may be worth checking out the Windjammer resort in LBTS... looks like their rack rate for a 2 br is $276/night and sometimes they run specials depending on when and how long you stay. I've never stayed there myself but I use their beach cam all the time to check out conditions before diving. :)

Good call on Windjammer. We are booked in the upstairs room closest to the ocean. :cool2:

We'll be diving LBTS all day and all night long! Woohoooooooo!!!!

And a double tanker at BHB with a day dive and night dive.

did you ask them for the diving special?

check with Steve/Brian at GCS for any rentals/fills and if you want anybody to dive with...

Do not overlook the other great shore dive sites like Vista Park, and Oakland Park Boulevard just a little south in FTL.
Pompano Beach has 12th Street, Dania has the Erojacks, The Yankee Clipper has their Erojacks and a Barge, The Sea Watch has the Copenhagen, Hollywood has the "Yellow Brick Road", and there are other places that are great dives from shore.
There some great spots for shore diving, und schnorkelizing here in Broward.
Some people make the mistake of just staying in LBTS while there are some other great locations within just 5 miles north and south of "The Datura Beach Portal".

Great info Chug, Thanks. I know/have met Steve at GCS and will get our fills there. My friend is hauling all our gear down, we are doing a flying in, mini Rock Star dive vacation. I usually drive and haul all our equipment so this is a extra special trip for us. FTL in 3 hrs.... WoooHoooo!!! We'll have scooters, suits, BP/Ws, aluminum and steel tanks waiting to play with.:cool2:

Fortunately my scooter has a longer battery life than a tank has of air. We'll scooter dive up and down and out from the coastline and hit as much as possible in the short time we have. I am shooting for 3-4 dives a day hopefully, weather permitting.

Randy. It looks like the night high tide at BHB that weekend is too late for a shore dive. Are you diving it by boat?

I have had great luck renting through airbnb.com. My dive partner and I have stayed at 2 places in WPB (Northwood) and once in Palm Beach Gardens and its been wonderful. Only a quick drive to the DS for gear for BHB or to their boat.

Check out this B&B Sea Spray Inn ~ Your Home Away from Home Never stayed there; however, I'm thinking of booking there when I head south, it's on Datura Ave., but and you do have to cross A1A. [h=1]Sea Spray Inn[/h]4245 El Mar Dr
