Tested today, double zip freezer bag, qt size, all aire removed, one sheet of TP. 60', it got wet. not terribly wet, a few drops. The air inside the FOB would make a difference. It would not be worth a risk.

A few drops of salt water would end the life of electronics.

What others have said... Tanks no problem at all. Only leave stuff that you won't be upset if it walks. Water bottles and towels are pretty much it for us.

I've done over 100 dives in Bonaire -- some below 90' using one of these. Stays bone dry and is big enough for keys/fobs, $$$. Hate to say it, but the $8.50 cases are a POS. Wasted money on 3 of them before I realized that they were only good for snorkeling.

Yeah, no. Buddy had one of them implode around 90 feet. It was looped around his neck, under his skin, I heard a POP! and see him start clawing at his neck. Scared the poop outta him. Same thing with the little cylinder types - always leak. Spend the $$ if you have a fob and get something rated for diving and depth.

Had REI type, Failed (imploded). Wet money and driver's license.
Had Scubapro, Failed after 20 dives(oring configuration is like the little cylinder ones, screwing compesses oring between plastic). A piece of sand scratched the plastic between the orings where it forms a seal and leaked. I believe it was not depth rated beyond 30' or so. ($100 FOB charge)
Little cylinder is a joke.

DryFob has oring orientation like a flashlight, on inside plus double oring like my flashlights.

Use old flashlight or something depth rated (130 ft).

I purchased enough of these things to know what depth rated construction looks like. Buy a good one once or you may struggle like I did. 1 FOB charge and car not starting is enough.

There are many (thousands?) of older small camera housings out there that could be used the same way. Max size to limit buoyancy when clipped off to you might be a consideration. Maybe an old Ikelite ultra compact housing?

You could put some $$$$ and depending on the thickness inside your vehicle keys, etc.

David that is actually brilliant. I have a Hero 7 case that I've taken to 130 feet on occasions. Never a leak. I might have my key fob holder right there.

Curious, what about cell phones? Or do you just leave them at hotel?
