I will state right up front that this is a close copy of the Trident quick draw bracket and take no credit for creativity!

I have always been the type to build something if I have the time and desire. When I found myself in the market for a pony bottle bracket I looked at the offerings and decided what style I wanted. The price wasn't bad at $165 from my LDS but I hadn't done any big projects for a while and took this on. I made my own patterns, poured my own castings from aluminum and finished the castings in my shop. I am set up better than most home shops. I did have to farm out the heat treatment as I am not set up to do that yet. I did use an alloy that has good salt water corrosion resistance and this should last me many years.
