I was using the tanks in Malta, unfortunately I didn't get the manufacturer.

Malta would have been steel, probably Faber or maybe Heiser. They're enlightened so generally don't use aluminium back gas!

I kinda messed up my one and only dive on the Vandenburg last summer. It was my second dive in the States using PSI instead of bar and I was too conservative with whatever crappy conversion I was usin

One difference is the reserves, metric world generally work on "out with 50 bar" whereas america seems to use "out with 500psi". 500psi is actually 35 bar which is worth bearing in mine when working things like that out.

Get your own gauges - solves all the problem :)

Why, whats the problem with aluminium tanks, or should i say aluminum :D
