These shots were kind of experimental. I was leaving my WA lens on and zooming the camera, testing the focus range and clarity of closer shots. The lens is rated for 3 feet to infinity, but I got quite a bit closer on some of these with the camera zoomed.

Oops, sorry. You're right of course. From the top, I didn't get past looking at the bands. Obviously, the snout is way to short and the back too round. Shouldn't have missed that, I've shot about a thousand Painted Greenlings.
