In our seats at 6:15 AM for a 6:40 departure from Huntsville to Dallas Fort Worth. At 6:40 Captain informs us of a problem and everyone deplanes. 30 mins later informed that flt isn't going to happen. American reps did their best even tried to get us on a Delta flt but they had no seats. So no way to make our connection and American as others only have 1 flt into Cozumel on weekdays.

Only thing left to do was to go home and try it all again tomorrow. So now sitting at home on a raining day instead of on the beach with my favorite cocktail.:(

Been there, done that, on a co-share ticket out of Detroit that no one behind the counter could
figure out. Got a $150 credit towards my next flight, but still lost a day. I feel your pain.
Better luck tomorrow.

Great Job Seal Team 6.

If you have problems tomorrow, opt for a flight to CUN and do the bag drag. It may suck, but it sucks less than losing days of vacation. There are 3 maybe 4 flights daily on AA from DFW to CUN. Look up the details so you have options to discuss with the AA reps. FYI - Even if you fly into CUN you can keep your homeward bound flight out of CZM when you return.

Are you able to push back your return so you don't lose the dive time? Right after one of the hurricanes the AM flight out of Houston was cancelled and we got bumped out of our standby spots on the PM flight. Since they pushed us back to the AM flight the next morning, after a bit of nice talking, we got Continental to change our return by a day as well at no extra cost.

American has a noon flights from there to Cancun yeah, arriving at 6:50pm, but Delta has more flights.

On the plus side, the new rules entitle you to double your ticket price if you're delayed 2+ hours and up to $1300 per ticket for longer delays...could well finance your next trip!

Where...??

On my last trip to Coz, we had crew issues caused by weather. We didn't want to fight with the 100+ other people for the seats the next day, so we took a different flight into Cancun. The bag-drag to the ferry and accross is annoying (or worse depending on how many bags you have), but it gets you there. Costs about $50 (U.S.) for bus, ferry and taxi, but you salvage part of a vacation day.
