Hello, we had to change our previous plans.

We will be all march in philippines and are looking for nice places to dive and nice weather/sun

Would you have recommended places ?

Thanks for your advice!!

Weather in Mar is usually very good.
With a month to spend then Visayas(central islands/provinces of the country) is the obvious choice.
Places of interest: Bohol(Alona Beach, Cabilao), Dumaguette(+ Apo Island, Siquijor), Malapascua, Moalboal Sipalay and Southern Leyte.
Malapascua, Sipalay and Southern Leyte is quite isolate from others so plan the trip carefully if you are thinking to visit it.
Have a nice one.

March is a great month here diving Subic Bay. Lot of sun, dry with calm seas and pretty constant good vis on most of the wrecks. It's easy, fast and no-stress to get here from MNL or CRK . A lot of folks fly into MNL, come to Subic for a few days diving, then fly out of Clark (CRK) to another dive destination - Cebu or El Nido - right now, but hopefully by March more domestic flights.

We can help you set up lodging, transfers and provide you with all the information that you need. www.mangosdivecenter.com - mangosdivecenter@gmail.com

Hello and thanks for your answer !

We have been already to:

Bohol
Dumaguete (dauin, siquijor)
Malapascua
moalboal

We are keen to see new places, how is the weather and the diving in March in:

PG
El nido
Coron
Leyte
Anilao
scubic bay
Puerto princesa
Leyte

We love sun, macro, and not run from one destination to another one (we have 5 weeks and in general we try to stay at least 1 week per spot, giving us the possibility to stay more or less feeling the mood)

Thanks for your advices !!!

Edit: what about Tubbataha from mid March?

Tubbataha is usually open from mid Mar to mid June. I have been there few times but always from mid Apr to mid May. Some LoB offers transition trip ie. first trip of the season but:

You have mentioned various places on FOUR different islands:
Anilao and PG is just across the channel from each other. And Subic Bay is on its own on Luzon.
Coron is in Busuanga.
El Nido and Puerto Princesa are in Palawan.
Leyte.
Weather is more or less the same at that of the yr.

Wrecks in Coron are much better than those in Subic Bay. Most if not all were sunk in action in WWII.

There is not much diving in Puerto Princesa(clean and nice town).
There is not much diving around Puerto Princesa.
I like Sogod Bay in Southern Leyte but it is so isolated.

Anilao, PG + Coron. May be Subic Bay if you still have time.

You really need to find out the diving scene in Coron because most of the wrecks are quite a distance from town(cheap accommodation). Resorts near to the wrecks are usually on the expensive side. There is a good wreck in north of the island but getting there is another story.
Nothing is perfect.

Thanks for your answer, it doesn't seems very worth it to go for transition trips following this report..

Is there still a chance to see whale sharks in Leyte in March ?

I won't categorically suggesting the "transition trip" is risky. Operators are doing that every year. But I would avoid that period because I am flexible with time.
Diving in Southern Leyte is very good and the chance meeting with the giant is entirely on LUCK.
Oslob is your better bet.

Hold your horses… don’t put your money in yet. We could be in the middle of a 4th wave of Covid lasting a few months from Jan with International air travel pandemic regulations and quarantine requirements playing the spoiler.
