A PFO is kind of a shortcut to DCS. It is thought to be present to in about 25% of the population. I personally know active divers with a known PFO. One was a technical diver with 3000 dives before he got a hit. Another got migraines. Yet another had several hundred dives before getting skin bends.
All of them dove normally until their hit and subsequent diagnosis. All changed to Nitox, adjusted their profiles, and increased their safety stops. None went on or use O2 for Deco, but they have it handy. None have had further issues.

I suggest not getting too anxious until you work through more plausible causes. I still don't think tingling is going to translate to higher DCS probability.

IMPORTANT- Get DAN insurance if you have not yet.

Yes, glad to hear its not the end of me getting back into diving : )

Yes, I will renew my DAN insurance tomorrow! Thanks!

FWIW my wife has a Suunto Viper and for multiple dive days we find it obnoxiously conservative, so much she has used every available tweak to make it less conservative AND runs the NITROX setting about 5% higher than she is actually using to be close to my UWATEC Aladin.
Some people love them, but.........

As a new diver, using a Suunto, not pushing limits, I think you would need to be missing your atrium septal wall to be getting DCS symptoms ☺️

I bought an almost new Atomics B2 and it came with the Suunto. It's very conservative as you know. I bought the Sherwood to compare performance with my Alladin Nitrox. The Alladin died, but not before I learned that the Sherwood was very aggressive. I did some 130 ft dives with it and it was NDL when my Alladin had me on Deco stops. I got the Luna right after that. I like it a lot.

Ya, it seems likely that there is something else going on. All my dives are beginner level and within limits, under the watchful eye of a professional.

I'll update when I know. Thanks again for all your help : )

The tingling in your head could be a couple of things not related to DCS. Perhaps your neck doesn't like the way you hold your head when you're diving or perhaps it could be the grip of your jaw in the mouthpiece (tempular madibular joint). or a combination of both.

Yeah, I mean all this talk about Nitrox and PFOs and more, when for all we know DAN might say that anything DCS related is unlikely. I sure would like to hear DAN's take on what the OP has experienced.

Why was this not posted in the Diving Medicine forum, where it might get the attention of someone with medical expertise?

I reported the thread with suggestion it gets moved to Diving Medicine
