I recently had the chance to do some diving in Amed and Tulamben on the East Coast of Bali. The muck diving there was sensational. Here is the full trip report, in case anyone is looking to dive here:
My Mola: Holy Muck Diving Tulamben and Amed Bali
Greetings all,
My wife and I have 2-3 days in Tulamben. just wondering if there are any other worthwhile sites to dive in the area besides the liberty wreck? We are fairly experienced divers and are looking for something at least a little special if possible. We enjoy macro but slightly...
My cousin is still in college and only available to dive December 28th-January 9th. We are really interested in Tulamben, Bunaken or Lembeh... I know it is the rainy season. Is this just a terrible time to go? It is a long, long flight for us, so I hate to waste our time. Thoughts? Would Marsa...

Hello!
I recently moved to Bali (located centrally in Ubud) and am looking for someone to do some shore diving with!
Since many of the dives in Tulamben and Secret Bay (Pemuteran) are relatively simple shore dives, I'd like to reduce the cost and rent tanks/weights instead of hiring a DM each...
Heck YA!! (There Are LOTS of Reasons!!) The Island of the Gods has everything from culture and customs, temples and tradition, pre and post diving, warm and welcoming locals, festivals and festivities, waterfalls and walking tours, luxury and local dining. There are a many luxury resorts and...
hi!
I am travelling to Tulamben in April and wondering if anyone stayed with Bali Reef Divers before? They offered attractive rates and I'm wondering if the equipment/ dive master are good as I would like to take some nice macro pictures :)
Also apart from seraya, is there other locations...
Hi scubaboard!
Here’s a video from our recent trip to Indonesia (Komodo, Tulamben, Padangbai).
It was shot with a Sony RX100 IV in a Fantasea housing. The macro shots were taken with a set of diopters (subsee +10 and/or Inon 165 +6), and I (generally) used a red filter on the wide angle shots...
Let me start by thanking everyone on scubaboard for all the fantastic advice I received leading up to the trip. What a great community and unbelievable resource!
Here's a video and trip report from our September trip to Tulamben, Padangbai, and Komodo. Enjoy!
Indonesia is an amazing country...
With a 3yr old AND a 11 month old in tow PLUS granny and gramps, you really want to go to a place that you know well and know what to expect.... so it was back to Scuba Seraya (SS) again. This was our third time here, so obviously we enjoy the place. I'm sure there are a few better places in...
Me and my husband are travelling around the world and currently in Indonesia. We are planning to stay a few weeks in Ubud and after that travel around Indonesia for almost one month. Our main focus will be on diving.
I am AOWD with 30 dives and my husband is a Divemaster.
We want to dive at...
Looking for a place that has guides with good eyes, and consistent power/elec. Camera tables would be a plus, but not as much as unlimited house reef dives being right on the wreck. In Indo can you dive solo in shallow water house reef if you have a solo cert? (dives to try out new snoot gear...
Hey Scubaboard members! :)
I'm a freelance Instructor living in Bali, Indonesia, and offering my assistance (acting as spokesperson) to raise more interest in the local dive operation, Bali Dream Divers. They are located in the quiet village of Tulamben, on the north east coast of Bali Island...
