Ok so before I give you my opinion, I must first say that I'm not a seasoned veteran like a lot of people on here. In fact, I'm fairly new to the diving game, only about 2 years in. However, I dive pretty much weekly, if not more, and I have spent the summer getting certified and working as a...
I am still debating which reg set to get, and I have read that it is easy to introduce water into the Atomic set if you don't rinse with a tank attached and pressurized. As I typically dive in the Caribbean, and the operators are 'valet' style, I don't typically rinse my own gear until I get it...
It may take a while to collect enough data on this given the generally low failure rate, however, it would be great to have some insight into when people here experience regulator failure.
We will see the regulator set as a whole, that is, not differentiate between first or second stage...
Asking $3400 CAD or $2600 USD
Brand New Never been used. Again it's never even seen a drop of water. I was going to get back into scuba diving and I've changed my mind.
This suit retails for $3950 CAD plus HST (Ontario) = $4464CAD
Even in the USA on sale this thing is $3300 to 3500 USD plus...
I am about to buy myself a regulator. I did some browsing and found a few of them and I am confused. so my question really boils down to asking you whether I need to get the latest and most advanced model. I have just started divingng and did about 10 dives. Or am I better off buying are used...
I won this regulator at a treasure hunt a few years ago. It has NEVER been used, still in original box. Tested, no leaks. I know this regulator is no longer made and service parts are hard to come by, but this was a bulletproof regulator in its day. Can be used till it dies or used for parts...
I've browsed the forum and have spent most of the day doing research (and I've done plenty in the past months too) and I'm still fairly undecided on what to do, so I'm turning to you all for advice...
I'm a divemaster looking to make the jump to instructor and move to a more full-time situation...
Neither had ever done so before. We entered the water off a beach with a 2 foot swell breaking on the beach. Hauled the gear through the water past the breakers and both our primary regs started freeflowing. The secondaries were ok. Pressing purge putton on the wife's reg a few times stoped...
Hello everyone, appreciate any insight. Was considering buying my dive buddy for Christmas a new T3. Was wondering if anyone knows if Atomic plans on coming out anytime soon with a new model presumably called the T4?
thanks,
Kevin
Hi guys, I'm looking for the equivalent or better than a scubapro MK17/S620ti. Also if anyone has ordered this configration could they please advise how it was packaged!
TLDR;
My LDS is saying they can't service my 1st and 2nd stage reg without also servicing my Air2, which I just purchased from them (from their certification fleet). Is this normal?
The long version:
A few weeks ago, I bought a used bcd with an Air2 Octo from my LDS. I assumed the bc and octo...
Got a question... I just picked up a lightly used G250V breaths great. I’m replacing the original Scubapro hose with a hex nut type, after removing the original hose I noticed the jam nut has a O’ring in it. Not sure if I attach the new hex nut hose leaving the jam nut O’ring or remove the...
Hi, I'm thinking of buying my own regulator (Aqualung Mikron), but the only stock available in my local dive shop was manufactured in 2016 (it is brand new though). Should I go for it or should I find something online? Or, if I buy if do I need to immediately conduct servicing on it since it's...
Looking for a service kit for my Scubapro 108 HP, looked on eBay and couldn’t find one for the HP, not sure if other Scubapro regs have similar kits that can be used or I’m just looking in wrong place.
Appreciate The help.
Kevin
Help... removed my 156 exhaust tee to clean and you guest it, I can’t get it back on. Tried to soften with warm water no go, soap to help slip it on again no go. Worried if I use to much force it will tear. Anyone know a trick to getting them on?
Thanks,
Kevin
Here's an US Divers / Aqua Lung yoke first stage set up for an argon bottle. It's got the first stage, an SPG with a 4" hose, and a red-sleeved BC inflator hose that's about 27" long.
I've never used this reg. I received it with other equipment from an elderly cave diver (she got her...
Looking to buy Apeks DST 1st stages with DIN fittings. Send me a PM if you have any for sale. I really am only looking for the first stages, no hoses, SPG's, second stages, etc. however if you do have XTX50 newer model second stages I might be interested.
I have both a US and Australian address...
