I'll be in Bali in August on a non-diving trip with a non-diving partner, but I would still like to get away for a day to dive Nusa Penida. We'll be staying part of the trip in Ubud and part in Uluwatu.
I was hoping to get picked up early in Ubud or Uluwatu and dive out of Sanur. Is this...
Dove in Manta Point, Nusa Penida, Bali, Indonesia, on 13 August, 2023. Water temperature was 20C (68F). Saw several mantas including the Darth Vader (Black Manta).
We had one day to dive in Nusa Penida on 20-Sep-2019. What a fine diving that was turned out to be. We saw 2 Mantas at Manta Point, 4 Mola Molas and a Thresher Shark at Blue Corner. Some divers even saw Great White Shark at Crystal Bay. :D

Bali is one of our favorite places to dive. Here is a guide that we put together from our experience diving there over the last four years.
The Scuba Diver’s Guide to Bali, Indonesia | My Mola
The team from Scuba Center Asia took me to a secret spot to observe the giant creatures. Mola Mola's are currently not in season. We spent two days doing pretty deep dive to find these creatures. Luckily we found them on Christmas Day. Here's a short filmed on a Gopro Hero 6, 1060p, 60fps
Diving with Manta Rays off the coast of Nusa Penida, Bali, Indonesia. This site is also a good place for snorkelers to observed these giant and gentle creatures. I shot this on a Gopro Hero 6, 1080P, 60fps.
I went to Bali for 10 days total with two non-diving strong swimming friends new to snorkeling. Wanted to dive two days, stay in moderate lodging (usually a hosteller, but this was a special trip) and see some temples & village life too. Thanks to this forum and this thread ["]Bali advice...
Hi all,
I'm an experienced diver (200+ dives, 17 years), arriving in Bali Oct 12. This will be my first time in Indonesia: dove Thailand liveaboard (meh), Cairns liveaboard (pretty great), Red Sea liveaboard (simply spectactular) and Caribbean (Bonaire! and some others: good ol' standby, love...
In January I dived again in Crystal Bay, one of my favorite dive spots around Bali in Indonesia.
The water in this area is always crystal clear and the coral reefs are alive with millions of small, colourful reef fish.

One experience that remains etched in your memory forever is the sighting of manta rays. If you visit Nusa Penida and do diving, you will definitely get to see one of these (unless you are the rare unlucky ones). They are enormous but when you see them swimming in the ocean, they tend to glide...
In december 2015 I made another trip to Nusa Lembongan at Bali. I made dives at Mangrove Point, Manta Point, Toyapakeh, SD Point and Pura PED. Apart from diving it's nice to travel around at the island. It's very easy and cheap to rent a motorbike on the island.
This video is the result of my trip:
Hi there,
I am a TEC 50 sidemount diver and I will be going to Sanur and Tulamben at the end of March with my family. A few years back, my wife and I already dove the Liberty, Manta Point and Crystal Bay in Nusa Penida. I will do some Rec dives with my wife in Tulamben again this year and maybe...
