Do you have to do "practical" exercise and dives to complete this course or can it be done online like PAD EANx?

my husband and I are going to Bonaire for a dive vacation and I was interested in the nitrox upgrade and wreck dive. I know you need to take classes and be certified to be a nitrox diver but do you need to take a wreck dive class to be able to wreck dive?
