I normally don't reply but this thread is missing one of the most important parts of any sport or community... and thats the people. I can't tell you how many times I witnessed personally the terrible attitude of 'experienced' divers to new bright eyed people. Diving seems to be populated by...
I am selling my backup photo rig. I am selling one sea & sea DX-350D housing for a Canon digital rebel xt (350D). This was my primary photo housing for the past 2 years and I've recently upgraded and dont use it anymore. Its never been flooded and has the 0-rings, grease, original box, and...
I have one of crickets hoods. Now 3 years old. It's held up pretty well but some of the seams are starting to split. The one thing I don't like is that huge fugly logo she puts on the hoods. It pretty much covers the entire side of the head.
I asked if she would make one with no logo and...
Kona for sure is nice and reliable. Here's a video from my last trip.

I have one with a sea and sea housing. Two inon z240 strobes and a couple of ports. It gets expensive but you can do this with it....
get a few nice lenses. Id suggest a 15mm fisheye and a 100mm macro for your underwater photos.

You got it. This was the 2nd time I have done the dive. Its now a must do on each trip to the Big Island. I bought my 15mm fisheye last year after getting back from that dive to prepare for the next time I happened to be there. Its pretty surreal especially when they do loops through the...
Here's a recent video from my excursion to warm waters last week.

this was last year at aumentos.
crazy. Last week there were a ton again, but I didnt have any good shots. Sea nettles are fun to look at but they always seem to hang out at safety stop levels.
I like my Jet Fins with spring straps installed. The jets are nice and stiff and give a really nice level of control for fine tuning hover positions while getting tough shots with macro lenses etc. The springs are a must for easy donning with lots of camera gear on shore dives.
NC was my home for over 10 years but I never dove it until I moved here. I go there a lot for work if you guys are ever planning a road trip let me know. I can point you to a few good places to stay in Wilmington and a few fantastic barbecue joints.
Hi folks,
I havent been able to dive locally in a while (been on the road for work), but I do take my gear along for some of the trips. Here is a video of my last dive in May off the coast of North Carolina. It took some time for me to find time to edit down the video into something short...
Hi NC wreck divers. I had a chance to finally dive there last month, but it took forever for me to get my video edited. So after a long delay, here it is. I was very impressed with the dive conditions and the amount of fish was incredible. I'll be there again this summer!

Hey guys! It was a great day for diving. I posted some pics up on my site (see link below) but here is a preview of pictures. I still owe some folks some emails, but havent gotten to ftp up the data yet. Airports are not good for large data transfers.
I have a DC suit and have used it for 2+ years. I had the legs shortened integrated shoes replaced and the seals re-done a year ago, and it was a good experience. My suit is cordura though and not neoprene. I put a pee valve in myself and glued some pockets to it recently (like all my...
